Chord Companion
Connect your MIDI controller. Click MIDI input in the top bar to select your device. Supports sustain pedal input (CC 64).
Play on your typing keyboard starting from A (middle C):
Use Z / X to shift octaves.
Click or tap the keys on the visual keyboard at the bottom. Use the Sustain pedal option to keep notes ringing.
When you play notes, they form a chord which is highlighted on the circle of fifths:
Click any wedge on the Circle of Fifths to preview that chord. Tap any suggestion chip in the readout panel to play a preview of the recommended transition.
Double-click (or double-tap) a wedge to add it straight to your Chord List, or drag it and drop it onto the list panel.
Click the Chords floating button to open the reference chart. Select any root note to view keyboard diagrams and formulas. Click a card to preview its sound, or press + to add it to your progression.
The Chord List panel (and, on desktop, the Chord Reference panel) is open by default — use the floating buttons to toggle either one. Here you can:
